Penn-Tex Helicopters Inc. was established in Louisiana in April 1988. The mission of Penn-Tex
is to provide high quality helicopter pesticide spraying service to American farmers. When not
engaged in helicopter pesticide operations, Penn-Tex provides high quality airplane and
helicopter flight training and aircraft mechanic training to a limited number of screened
applicants each year.

Ken Squires, the president of Penn-Tex, established this company in large part due to his
running frustration for several years previous to 1988 stemming from the many practical
limitations of trying to provide airplane crop service to farmers in his earliest operational years.
Leasing loading spots on county or city owned airports from which to provide airplane pesticide
operations to farmers proved to be just as ridiculous and problematic as trying to lease private
land from farmers and other landowners. All of the airplane airstrip leasing appeared to be too
shaky and too costly both in foolish politics and untold dollars wasted, and all came along with
too many onerous rules attached.

Upon switching to helicopters in 1988 to perform crop operations, Ken suddenly needed only a
small parcel of land for a heliport. Much smaller than the 10-20 acres needed for an airplane
airstrip. The smaller heliport acre requirements are much more realistic and justifiable to
purchase balanced against the feast and famine revenues of the crop-dusting industry in
general.

Penn-Tex currently operates out of a 9,000 square foot steel building located on U.S. Hwy 90 at
Jeanerette, Louisiana. Penn-Tex purchased the steel building and the 5 acre lot that it sits on in
November of 1991.
