This year 2009, marks our 21st consecutive year of aircraft operations! Ken Squires was the
first individual in Louisiana to establish, maintain and prove the concept of stand-alone
helicopter crop operations in Louisiana to be viable enough that such an operation could
financially sustain itself.  Ken is the first to admit that it was not easy, but he believed in the
concept of higher quality crop work for farmers possible with helicopters and he stuck with it,
through thick and thin, feast and famine.

Now there are approximately 6 helicopter crop-duster operations in Louisiana, some are
ex-student pilots taught by Ken Squires himself.

Ken believes so strongly in the concept of crop-work by helicopter that he has assisted many
airplane crop-duster pilots and owner operators thereof with custom training courses to
convert to helicopters.

Penn-Tex has extraordinary aircraft maintenance, overhaul, and alteration capability at its
Jeanerette facility. One of the major foundations of the Penn-Tex 20 year survival is directly
attributed to these unique repair capabilities. Our tooling and testing capabilities are
matched only by much larger aircraft organizations.

The President of Penn-Tex, Ken Squires is a general aviation industry veteran. Ken is 55
years old and holds 10 FAA licenses and ratings and has accumulated 19,000 flying hours.
Ken is flight instructor rated in both airplanes and helicopters and holds the Airframe and
Powerplant mechanic license with the Inspection Authorization.

New Promoter of Airports in Iberia Parish Louisiana!

Starting in the course of the year 2008 and continuing through now, Ken became
dissatisfied with the management and lack of vision in the growth and handling of the two
airports in Iberia Parish, Louisiana.
Specifically, Ken became heavily involved in promoting
a
new growth vision and a more aggressive functional direction of the two airports, the
Jeanerette airport (2R1) in particular. In so doing, Ken's aviation influence was recognized
by his peers and Ken was
thus appointed the Airport Support Network (ASN) volunteer for
the Jeanerette airport by 'the Aircraft Owner's and Pilot's Association during 2008. AOPA is
America's largest pilot group with about 400,000 members.

Ken has gained enough confidence at the hands of his ASN appointment to recently
evolve
himself into
the spearhead for over $2,000.000 dollars in renovation grants for the
Jeanerette Airport
. The Jeanerette airport, was until Ken got involved, an airport that was
given up for dead by many locals.
